Cross Gable Craftsman Bungalow, 1917

This cross gable craftsman bungalow was constructed in 1917. It is characterized by low pitched gable roofs with wide gable and eave overhangs. A decorative vent is centered in the front facing gable. A three-quarter length porch covered by a shed roof runs along the front facade and is supported on heavy, battered piers. A closed, stucco-clad rail encloses the porch, its finish matching the stucco cladding of the walls, Fenestration consists of six-over-one double hung windows. The house is a good example of a simply designed bungalow, exhibiting all of the basic features of this style. The house retains its integrity of design, materials, workmanship, setting and association.
