Colonial Revival, 1942
A late example of Colonial Revival, this house was constructed in 1942. Rectangular in plan, it is surmounted by a moderately pitched hip roof. The front facade is symmetrically arranged with a central entry flanked by paired one-over-one double hung windows. A small porch pediment projects over the porch stoop and is supported on latticed posts. The gabled pediment is finished with a facia with returns. The entry door is paneled. The house has been clad with vinyl siding. The use of composition shingle on the roof and the replacement of the original siding have compromised the integrity of materials. In all other aspects the house remains unaltered and is a good example of its design type. It retains integrity of design, workmanship, location, setting, feeling and association.
