COMMITTEES


Our Association has several working committees.  If you are interested in participating, please contact the person indicated a the "point of contact."


Traffic Committee is pursuing a plan to improve pedestrian and bicycle safety, reduce accidents, and calm traffic flow on Fifth Street and provide additional improvements throughout the Old North neighborhood.

Heritage Sign Committee has worked to install the heritage signs now seen on the borders of the Old North neighborhood.

Zoning Committee is working with City planners to implement the Design Guidelines in the zoning code. The Design Guidelines were produced through an extensive effort including both the city and the community.

Parking Committee has been successful in creating a parking district that protects residents' parking needs without excluding others.

Old North Park Committee is exploring ways to improve the "de facto"; mini-park at Water Well #1, 617 E Street.

Social Committee plans our highly successful holiday season Progressive Dinners, the annual Garden Party Potluck, and the Annual Meeting Picnic.

Urban Forest is dedicated to maintaining our urban forest of street-shading trees.
